Father and Son: Strangers at First Sight

Ten years ago, firefighter Lin Jianguo disappeared after being blown into a river by an explosion while rescuing his 5-year-old son Xiaoyu from a fire. Xiaoyu was adopted and renamed Chen Mo, growing up to be an emergency doctor. One night, a homeless man injured in a car accident is brought to the ER—Chen Mo is stunned to see a half-silver lock engraved with "Yu" around his neck, the same one he and his father split years ago! But the man has total amnesia after waking up, even fearing human contact. Pretending to be a volunteer, Chen Mo gets close: they piece the lock together, cook Xiaoyu’s childhood favorite tomato egg noodles, and revisit their old alley. When the man finally murmurs "Xiaoyu," Chen Mo holds up the other half of the lock, sobbing: "Dad, I’ve looked for you for ten years!" The man trembles as he touches Chen Mo’s face, tears flowing: "My son… I remember now…"
