A regular mountain forager named A Shan encounters a mysterious earth snake in the forest. Instead of dying from the bite, he accidentally gains an earth snake avatar—an ability to share senses with the avatar and become strong enough to split rocks. He just uses the avatar to solve a crisis with his companion when he is targeted by a mysterious organization that covets the "beast fusion ability".
