During the Sanwan Reorganization following the Autumn Harvest Uprising in 1927, young propagandist Lin Xiu and company instructor Gu Yan developed a secret affection amid the war. Before their parting, Gu Yan hid his unsent love letter in an old wooden box. Over 90 years later, antique shop owner Shen Xing stumbled upon this yellowed letter, retraced the clues back to Sanwan, uncovered the long-forgotten revolutionary romance, and met forest ranger Chen Ye who bore a striking resemblance to Gu Yan, kicking off a century-spanning bond.
