Lin Xiaoman, a "troublemaker intern" at an advertising company, is labeled "unruly" for refusing to help a client with false propaganda—only to catch the eye of Lu Jingshen, the group's heir. The seemingly aloof Mr. Lu has actually been secretly investigating her: ten years ago, it was the "unruly" little Xiaoman who stood in front of the kidnapped him. Now reunited, Lu instantly becomes a "coaxing expert": he helps her fight workplace PUA, customizes a creative workstation for her, and even slams an acquisition contract when she's harassed, declaring, "I'm backing her up." Just as Xiaoman thinks it's a sweet accident, she discovers Lu's "approach" is premeditated—he recognized her long ago. Together, they expose a business conspiracy. Xiaoman rises from a "problem employee" to a creative director, and Lu finally confesses: "Your unruliness is the light I most want to guard."
