Architect Su Wanxing returns to her hometown reluctantly to fight for the old town renovation project, determined to fulfill her late mother's last wish—only to run straight into Gu Huaichuan, her first love who disappeared without a word years ago. Now a real estate tycoon in control of the project, Gu torments her with contract terms while secretly restoring her mother's old design sketches. Su calls him a “cold-blooded capitalist” yet finds herself clutching their old starry bracelet late at night. When the old wall in the district reveals her mother's starry graffiti, and Gu takes out the engagement ring he's hidden for seven years, those unsaid words—“I was afraid to hold you back” “I've been waiting”—finally break through all pretense under the scorching starry sky.
