In high school, Su Xiaoman’s world revolved around two things—studying for Tsinghua and sharing strawberry candies with her childhood sweetheart Jiang Shan. But on a summer solstice night in senior year, Jiang Shan vanished, leaving her holding a half-melted candy and hearing rumors he “ran off with a gangster.” Seven years later, Xiaoman walked into an investment bank meeting in high heels, only to crash into a familiar embrace—the man in the client’s seat was the sharp-suited “President Jiang.” It turned out Jiang Shan’s father’s sudden debt crisis forced him to fake a “heartless disappearance” to protect Xiaoman; he secretly worked to pay debts, studied abroad, and built his business. Now reunited, Xiaoman’s “revengeful coldness” clashes with Jiang Shan’s “persistent sweetness.” Amidst workplace battles, unspoken feelings resurface. Can the old candy wrapper glue their childhood love back together?
