Intern reporter Meng Na disguises herself as an "incredibly obedient" assistant to dig up a corporate scandal and gets close to Lu Jingshen, a gloomy and scheming CEO. However, she catches the attention of Shen Yan—a playboy on the surface but a schemer aiming to take over the group—who deliberately exposes her "obedience" yet helps her cover it up, forming a strange "partnership". Just as Meng Na gets lost in Lu Jingshen's tests and Shen Yan's pulls, her "sunshine childhood sweetheart" Lin Chuan suddenly returns with her long-buried secrets. Little does she know, Lu Jingshen has long seen through her disguise but still keeps her around. In this game of "obedience", who is plotting? Who falls in love first? When the truth comes out, she realizes: the best at "disguise" was never her.
