Su Xiaoman is a pastry chef at the alleyway "Semi-Sweet House". She loses her chance to study abroad due to her stepsister's machinations, only to reunite at a dessert competition with Lu Shiyan—the "little crybaby" from her childhood who once gave her half a candy, now the heir to the Lu Group. When her stepsister attempts to steal her competition qualification, Lu Shiyan suddenly takes out the old plum candy wrapper from years ago: "The sweet taste of my childhood only belongs to her." What Xiaoman doesn't know is that Lu Shiyan, in order to find her, secretly changed all the dessert lines of his group to semi-sweet recipes and even shielded her from the Ji family's schemes. When the "abandoned Cinderella" meets the "plum knight who has hidden for ten years", a twist lurks within the sweet romance—it turns out Xiaoman is the long-lost daughter of a dessert dynasty who was switched at birth. What she's reclaiming is not just her craft, but also her own "semi-sweet love".
