Lin Wan, a fledgling planner on the verge of collapse from workplace PUA, picks up a withered gardenia late at night and accidentally triggers the "Gardenia Nirvana System"—complete three "regret-healing missions" to "restart her life". But there’s always an "unexpected variable" in the missions: the cold CEO Fu Shiyan seems to have a tracker—he just happens to have the same gardenia hairpin when she helps an old lady find hers, and he just happens to hand her a hot cocoa when she’s scolded to tears by a client. Until the last mission, she opens the old gardenia box and finds Fu Shiyan’s ten-year diary inside: "I spent ten years making a 'system', breaking our memories into missions, just to make you remember—you were the 'little sun' I risked my life to protect back then, and the 'Lin Wan' I want to dote on for a lifetime now." It turns out the so-called "nirvana" is him crushing her inferiority and piecing back the shining girl she used to be.
