Lin Xia, a relic restorer at the Palace Museum, is entangled with Gu Chen, a returning investment bank CEO, when the Qing court painting her mother donated years ago is labeled "stolen." Under the guise of acquiring a cultural and creative company, Gu Chen is actually searching for the painting for his grandmother—and even accuses Lin's mother of "stealing from her post." As they work together to prove the painting's innocence, they uncover the old bond between Gu's grandmother and Lin's mother, plus a long-concealed relic smuggling conspiracy. Midsummer cicadas hum as their relationship heats up, but when Gu Chen's company gets tangled in a new smuggling case, Lin Xia is forced to choose between the truth and her growing feelings.
