Shen Zhaozhao is the notorious "Miss Misfortune" in the capital—her mother died giving birth to her, she burned down the ancestral home at three, and at fifteen, even her own father wants to send her to a Taoist temple to "suppress evil." But this girl, called a "born bad seed," crashes into the arms of Prince Jin Xiao Heng on the day she runs away from her marriage. That's the "Living Yama" who holds absolute power in the court, a ruthless man even the emperor fears. Yet Shen Zhaozhao insists on being "bad" to him: stealing his prized horse, exposing his counterintelligence scheme, even luring his hidden guards to be her "personal errand boys." However, when Xiao Heng peels off her "bad" shell, he finds the softness inside: the hands that sneak hot congee to beggars at night, the back that shields a bullied maid from a whip, and the "misfortune" caused by a curse. It turns out her "badness" is just armor to protect herself; and his "ruthlessness" has become a shield to guard her. When the "bad seed lady" meets the "Living Yama," will she break his disguise, or will he warm her wounds? This "badly sweet" love has just begun.
