Su Wanyue, daughter of a disgraced imperial concubine, toils as a lowly maid in the palace. She saves Li Zhao, a "eunuch" attacked by assassins, during an accidental trip to the imperial garden. They develop a secret affection, and Li Zhao always vows to take her outside to see the moonlight. But at the queen's birthday banquet, Su Wanyue is framed for assassination. In desperation, Li Zhao suddenly appears in a dragon robe—he is the young emperor who has been biding his time to investigate his mother's murder. Even more shockingly, Su Wanyue is actually the legitimate daughter of the late empress, swapped at birth! From "commoners" rescuing each other to the fated entanglement of "emperor and heir," when their moonlit promise collides with power struggles, how will they hold onto that pure, tender kiss between the kingdom and their deep love?
