Lin Xiaoman guards her grandfather's "Goldfish Lane" aquarium, vowing to save the old lane from forced demolition. One day, Gu Shiyan, the reputed "demolition devil" and business emperor, bursts in with a goldfish whose patterns match her longevity lock, asking to foster it. He seems cold-blooded but is secretly stopping his uncle's unethical development plan; Xiaoman further discovers that Gu is the abducted child her grandfather saved years ago—the goldfish is actually the pendant he gave her back then. On demolition day, Gu uses an old contract hidden for twenty years to save the lane. They set off fireworks at the entrance, and the goldfish leaps out, reflecting the shadow of them holding hands as kids—turns out the "jiangshan" (kingdom) worth guarding is always the one in your heart, and the warm old days you never want to lose.
