In 1927, amid warlord conflicts, Su Wantang, the eldest daughter of the Su family, witnessed her clan’s extermination due to political strife. She went into hiding and worked as a singer at the Paramount. When harassed by thugs, she was saved by Gu Chengyuan—the North’s warlord, once the beggar boy she’d given half a bun to, now the powerful "Marshal Gu". As old memories resurface, Gu vows to protect her with his entire realm, but political schemes and old enemies soon follow. Can his tenderness, hidden beneath his iron uniform, melt her despair over fate? When old dreams clash with reality, a decade-long guardianship unfolds slowly in the dim, fading lights.
