Lin Puti, an unloved concubine's daughter of the prime minister's family, hides in Bodhi Temple as a lowly novice to escape marrying an old eunuch. On a rainy night, she saves Gu Zhao, the God of War prince being hunted. To hide his identity, Gu Zhao stays as a "pilgrim" and pampers her in secret—adding honey to her bitter tea, shielding her from bullying, and even leading 100,000 soldiers to storm the prime minister's mansion when she's taken back: "Who dares touch my person?" But just as Lin Puti thinks she's found warmth, Gu Zhao's real goal emerges—he's searching for the former princess, and that's her? Were those tender moments true love, or just a scheme?
