Down-and-out fisherman Chen Hai makes a living with his rusty broken boat, mocked by peers and dumped by his girlfriend for poverty. Accidentally, he nets an ancient mysterious fishing net left by other fishermen, catching invaluable deep-sea treasures overnight and rising to a renowned fishing king. He meets Su Wan, a rich young lady escaping family constraints, who falls for his sincerity and grit and stays by his side against her family's will. Jealous rivals frame him later, pushing his fleet to collapse. He outsmarts them to prove innocence, builds his fishing empire, and wins his love, weaving a satisfying rags-to-riches love story.
