Princess Shen Zhao of Qinghe volunteers to tame the flooding Qinghe River to fulfill her father's last wish, only to reunite with Emperor Gu Heng—who left her years ago to ascend the throne. Convinced he's a heartless ruler, she's stunned to learn his "abandonment" was to draw away assassins targeting her. Just as they reconcile, Gu Heng's uncle—the mastermind behind the embezzlement of river project funds—reveals his plot: to destroy Qinghe, flood farmlands, and usurp the throne. Caught between the kingdom's fate and their long-hidden love, can they navigate the twists to save the world... and each other?
