Amidst the chaos in Jiangbei, Japanese female warrior Chishima Sakura leads her army to the border. Meanwhile, Prime Minister Zhao Yuan frames loyal officials, turning Su Wan (daughter of a wronged minister) and Ye Guxing (disgraced deputy general) into wanted criminals. On the run, they take refuge in the mysterious "Misty Rain Pavilion" and find secret letters revealing Zhao Yuan's collaboration with Chishima—he plans to use her to overthrow the court and usurp the throne! To save the imprisoned emperor, Su Wan uses her trap-making skills to break the pavilion's mechanisms, while Ye Guxing fends off Chishima's pursuit with his sword. From suspicion to sharing life and death, they rush to the palace with evidence—only to find Chishima waiting, her sword pointed at Zhao Yuan's throat? In this chaotic power game, who is the pawn? The fog of the Misty Rain Pavilion awaits exposure.
