Talented young Taoist master Lin Xiaoman is tricked by the scheming detective Lu Shiyan right after descending the mountain—he seizes her peach wood sword on the pretext of “magical artifacts involved in a case” and forces her to use Taoism to investigate serial murders. Her methods—using feng shui to find souls and talismans to track criminals—shock the police. Yet she discovers Lu Shiyan, though sharp-tongued, secretly shields her from the villain’s attacks. Behind the cases lies a conspiracy: former dynasty remnants are using dark magic to resurrect a tyrant and overthrow the kingdom! From bickering to standing side by side, Lin Xiaoman uses her skills to break through obstacles while being charmed by Lu’s tenderness. When the final villain emerges, she realizes—the man who forced her to solve crimes has long laid a deep-hearted plan to “guard the entire city” for her.
