Lin He, a florist apprentice who failed in big city life, returns to her hometown in Jiangnan to inherit her grandma’s neglected lotus pond and lost lotus-flower art skills. Her cousin coveting the family property frames her and steals her clients, pushing Lin into desperation. Then she meets Gu Yan, a gentle intangible cultural heritage inheritor; they bond over lotus flowers, work together on the pond, rediscover the nearly lost art and expose the cousin’s plot. Eventually Lin achieves career success with tenacity and talent, gains pure mutual love, and the blooming lotus pond witnesses her growth and redemption through half a lifetime of craftsmanship.
