Top actress Su Wan ventures into the uninhabited desert alone to prepare for her role in a "desert survival" film, hoping to break through her acting slump—only to accidentally get involved in engineer Lu Ye's pursuit of a fugitive. Lu Ye's sister went missing due to the fugitive's crimes, and he has been holding on in the desert for three years. To evade danger, they are forced to pretend to be a couple. In the harsh, sandstorm-ravaged wilderness, Su Wan hides a heart closed off by childhood trauma, while Lu Ye punishes himself with unspoken guilt. As their fake "love" slowly turns into real dependence, they realize: each other is the long-overdue "prairie fire" in their lives—together, they will learn to "grow wild" again in the barrenness.
