Su Wan, an unfavored illegitimate daughter of the Prime Minister’s household, is sent to the palace as a maid to take the blame for her legitimate elder sister. She stumbles upon a red skirt belonging to the late Empress, embroidered with half a map of the realm—a key secret from a past palace coup.
