Ye Han, a cultivator who has hidden in the mountains for ten years, is ordered by his master to 'undergo tribulation'—protecting Su Wantang, a wealthy heiress. When they first meet, his shabby Taoist robe makes Su Wantang mistake him for a fraud, and he's almost kicked out by security. But when Su Wantang falls into business traps, is surrounded by gangsters, or faces mysterious assassinations, Ye Han resolves everything with divine skills like 'fetching objects from thin air' and 'light-body technique'—he even uses spiritual power to reheat her coffee! Amidst the hilarious chaos of Ye Han's cultivator mindset clashing with urban life, the two go from 'disgust vs. obsession' to ambiguous tension. With old enemies tracking him down, how will this 'rustic bodyguard' use his invincible strength to melt the ice-cold heiress's heart?
