Intern reporter Lin Xiaoman grits her teeth and takes the stage in place of a contestant with a sudden stomachache, just to get footage of Chen Mo, the fighting god she admires. The entire audience laughs at her, mocking her as a "weakling asking for death," and even Chen Mo frowns and tells her to "get down quickly before getting hurt." But when the opponent throws a punch, Lin Xiaoman reveals the old wristband her grandfather gave her before he died—it's made from his military uniform, a "kung fu inheritance token." In the next second, she uses her grandfather's "Xingyi Quan Half-Step Collapsing Fist" to knock down the three-time champion, then uses "Wing Chun Listening Bridge" to deflect the dark horse's flying kick, clearing the stage in three moves. The audience shifts from laughter to silence, then erupts into deafening cheers. Watching the glowing Lin Xiaoman on stage, Chen Mo remembers his grandfather's words: "Those who integrate kung fu into daily life are true prodigies." It turns out the little girl who always followed him for footage had long carved her grandfather's kung fu into her bones.
