Lin Xiaoman, a nobody in an entertainment company, is a secret fan of top actor Gu Jingshen. When she witnesses Gu being framed for an "infidelity scandal" by rivals and exploited by his agency, she suddenly awakens a "Guardian System" — she must resolve all crises for Gu, or she'll face backlash. She brazenly becomes Gu's temporary assistant, using her sharp tongue to expose rivals' plots and warm gestures to melt Gu's cold exterior. However, Gu distrusts her sudden enthusiasm, and the rivals' tactics grow more vicious: spreading rumors, sending threats, and sabotaging Gu's new drama. As they test each other, Lin discovers Gu's coldness stems from a childhood abandonment trauma, while Gu realizes this "thick-skinned assistant" hides secrets about him — she seems to have known him long before? When the rivals' ultimate plot surfaces, Lin must choose between the system's punishment and revealing her true feelings. Meanwhile, Gu finally understands: it's not that she needs to "cover" him, but that he can't live without this little sun.
