A mysterious Sky Curtain appears in modern girl Lin Wan's home, where Princess Li Wan'er of Tang Dynasty and her officials show up. That day, the curtain sync exposes their future fates: the loyal general's entire family is annihilated, while the villain's descendant becomes a modern business tycoon. Li Wan'er breaks down in tears, and a warning that their fates are bound with Lin Wan's is sent from the curtain. What's eerier, Li Wan'er accidentally touches the jade pendant passed down in Lin Wan's home—her cross-temporal visit is tied to an inescapable karmic cycle.
