Veteran poultry farmer Lao Zhao aims for a higher profit, incurring the whole village to hold back their birds waiting for the cold wave to drive up prices, while secretly offloading his own stock. Unexpectedly, the cold wave hits early, sending poultry prices plummeting, leaving villagers with unsold birds and massive losses, who swarm to Lao Zhao for answers. Little does he know he was scammed by a middleman—who had advance info of the early cold wave and bought all his offloaded stock at a high price. Who is the real culprit behind this lose-lose gamble?
