Lin Xiaoman, owner of a late-night antique repair shop, shut out all "warmth that fades" after losing her best friend in an accident three years ago—only the glow of an old desk lamp keeps her company through the nights. Until Chen Mo, a taxi driver in a worn jacket, shows up with a shattered firefly glass lamp, saying his grandma told him to find "someone who can piece the light back together" before she died. As they glue the shards, they find a note from Xiaoman's friend hidden inside: "I saw you picking up fireflies downstairs. I was there too, just didn't let you turn around." Turns out, the light she thought had gone out had always been held quietly in someone's arms, waiting for her to turn around and see.
