Lin Mo, the last disciple of a secluded ancient immortal sect, is tasked by his master to go down the mountain for cultivation. He is completely out of his depth in the concrete modern city: he doesn't know how to use takeout QR codes, operate smartphones, and even makes a fool of himself hailing a taxi. Trying to lay low, he accidentally shows his immortal powers and gets hounded by a talent agency, and runs into Su Qing, a tough policewoman who is skeptical of metaphysics. Meanwhile, black market forces coveting the ancient immortal inheritance target him. Lin Mo must adapt to modern life and navigate all sorts of troubles, turning his urban days into a chaotic yet perilous adventure.
