Fresh graduate Lin Xiaoman rents Room 404 in the old-town “Fuxing Li” to save money. On her first night, she hears the eerie sound of nails scratching the door—but no one is outside when she looks through the peephole. Every night at 12 o’clock since then, a strange woman’s face appears in the bathroom mirror. The aunt selling breakfast downstairs warns her, “No one has stayed in that room for more than a month,” but the landlord insists it’s just tenants being paranoid. When Lin tries to investigate, she finds her photo in a ten-year-old missing person file… Is this a ghostly curse hiding in the old house, or a terrifying scheme orchestrated by someone?
