Su Nian runs a handmade osmanthus wine shop in Osmanthus Alley of the old town. On a rainy night before Mid-Autumn Festival, she bumps into a distraught mysterious man, whose dropped draft depicts a newly grown osmanthus tree against the moon. The man then frequents her shop, and Su Nian gradually realizes he is either an old acquaintance who left without saying goodbye years ago over osmanthus, or a stranger searching for the osmanthus scent of his hometown. They get closer amid the osmanthus fragrance, with the warmth of old feelings intertwined with new impulses. Every jar of osmanthus wine holds unspoken intentions, and the osmanthus scent on Mid-Autumn night will reveal all answers.
