In the depths of the sea, a beautiful mermaid rescues a drowning merchant, shedding her scales to help him prosper, with her tears transforming into pearls, symbolizing their intertwined fates. However, the merchant treats her as a substitute, allowing his beloved to bully her. Over time, the mermaid endures with resilience, ultimately jumping into the ocean to reveal the truth: the pearls are actually symbols of her deepest feelings. As the man realizes the truth in the turbulent sea, it is too late to change the past. Their love becomes marooned amidst the waves, but also hints at redemption and rebirth emerging from the depths.
