In the Republic of China era, Su Yao, a female photographer on an island, stumbles upon an ancestral ancient painting *Mirror Flowers on the Sea*. The island landscape in the painting perfectly matches the uninhabited island where she works. Meanwhile, fishermen go missing repeatedly. Su Yao teams up with coast guard Lu Yan to investigate, and gradually uncovers WWII-era treasure secrets hidden behind the painting. The missing fishermen are guarding the secret, and Su Yao's life experience is closely related to the criminals of that case.
