In a quiet coastal fishing village, homestay owner Lin Wan is looking after her vacationing younger sister and two foreign tourists when a once-in-a-century catastrophic tsunami strikes. Communications and roads are instantly swallowed by surging waves, trapping everyone on the inn’s second floor. With an injured tourist hurt by falling timber and seawater creeping up the stairs fast, Lin Wan calms the panicking group, uses her local knowledge to find an unsealed escape route, and races against the rising tide to survive before it’s too late.
