Young landscape architect Lin Wan returns to her hometown to renovate her late grandfather's dilapidated courtyard, aiming to build a healing countryside homestay as per her grandpa's last wish. The project suddenly runs out of funding halfway, and she meets Gu Yan, the strict partner sent by the new investor. At first they clash constantly, but they gradually uncover a childhood bond: the little keepsake Lin lost back then has been kept by Gu Yan all these years. Gu Yan secretly saves the project and helps Lin stay true to her rural dream. In the end, the old courtyard regains its glory, and the two also get their long-overdue romance.
