Chen Mo, jobless and dumped, mopes in his rental. His best buddy Lin Chuan kicks the door, yelling, "I got you a 'life restart package'!" and drags him to a rural left-behind children's home. Chen Mo flicks through kids' drawings absentmindedly—until his finger freezes on a lopsided sun, exactly like the one he drew for the anonymous little girl Xiaotang a decade ago. Looking up, he meets a pair of bright eyes: "Brother, I've waited so long! I'm the volunteer teacher here now!" Lin Chuan then waves a yellowed donation record: "The day you said you were a 'useless adult', I tracked Xiaotang down—The light you once gave someone? It's time for it to light your way back."
