Five years ago, anti-narcotics officer Gu Hechuan left his girlfriend Lin Jinshi pretending to be a "traitor," even leaving a cruel note saying "I've fallen for someone else"—he thought it would keep her safe, but it plunged her into two years of self-doubt. Now a healing wedding dress designer, she's about to marry the psychiatrist who helped her out of the darkness—until Gu Hechuan bursts in with a gunshot wound: he's completed his mission, still holding the crane-shaped jade pendant he never dared to give, and the engagement ring on her finger aches in his chest. When the "dead" old love returns with the truth, and her gentle fiancé suddenly shows a strange look, Lin Jinshi realizes the "crane" she thought she'd buried never left her "precious hour" (Jinshi) at all.
