Lin Xiaoman runs a syrup shop in an alley. One day, she picks up an amnesiac stranger—Gu Yichen, former CEO of Gu Group, a business tycoon. To help him retrieve his identity and make a living, Xiaoman lets him work in her shop, forcing the fancy man who can’t tell coffee from soy milk to learn street chores from scratch. The two who once disliked each other develop secret feelings when he helps Xiaoman drive away troublemakers and she assists him in piecing together memory fragments. But when Gu’s childhood sweetheart comes to take him back to the wealthy family, Xiaoman realizes this “downtown romance” is just a short episode during his amnesia. Staying or leaving has become an insurmountable identity gap for them.
