Crimson Blade chronicles the power rebellion of Ji Wangshu, a concubine’s daughter in the Hou Mansion. Abused by her stepmother and used as a doormat by her half-sister since childhood, Ji is tricked into marrying Lord Gao Changzhou—the "devil duke" of Zhenbei, feared even by the emperor—on her 15th birthday. Expecting to die as a pawn, she instead uses her wit to see through her husband’s tests, turn her half-sister’s schemes against her, and topple the legitimate branch of the Hou Mansion. Leveraging Gao’s influence, she enters the court—rising from a vulnerable palace woman to the all-powerful regent—and finally shatters Confucian constraints to become empress. When the once weak girl wields the blade of power, she seeks not just revenge, but to prove to the dynasty: a woman’s blade cuts deeper than any man’s.
