Gu Yanqing, the eldest grandson of the Zhenguo Marquis Mansion, insists on marrying Su Wan, a doctor from a poor family. The ladies in the mansion pressure them for "ruining the family reputation" and even frame Su Wan for "stealing" the family heirloom. Just as everyone is about to drive her out, the old lady from the Buddhist hall appears with a dragon-headed crutch—she exposes the frame-up and takes out the late emperor's death-free gold medal: "No one has the right to judge the granddaughter-in-law of my Marquis Mansion!" It turns out twenty years ago, the old lady was the "Splendid Knife Heroine" who saved the late emperor in trouble, and Su Wan's grandfather took a knife for her back then. Now the mansion seems splendid but hides undercurrents: some want the title, some want to harm the granddaughter-in-law. Watch how the mighty old lady protects her grandchild's true love, roots out the "moths" in the mansion, and guards the century-old splendor of the noble family!
