Overworked 996 office worker Lin Wan rescues a dying white fox on her way home after overtime. That very night, a handsome fox demon in ancient Chinese attire pesters her at her door. The demon not only mooches food and shelter in her rental apartment, but also saves her from workplace bullying and accidents repeatedly. Lin Wan soon realizes their encounter is no coincidence: her ancestor saved the demon's spiritual essence a century ago, and now he's either here to repay the favor or hiding a secret agenda. As the mystery unfolds, their relationship gradually shifts amid constant bickering and fighting side by side.
