Lin Xiaoman, a neighborhood patrol officer in an old Beijing hutong, accidentally gains the ability to see residual traces of crime scenes. Her mundane daily life of patrolling and chatting with local residents is turned upside down. A string of bizarre murders occur in the hutong. With her unique gift, she accurately locks onto key clues for solving cases, but unwittingly gets tangled up in a decades-old cold case.
