Su Wan, an archaeology intern, finds a fox-patterned ancient jade—the Fox Jade—among her grandma's relics. One night, the jade emits a mournful cry, and the next day it vanishes. A mysterious man named Bai Mo appears, claiming, "The Fox Jade is my tail." Forced to team up with him to retrieve the jade, Su Wan uncovers a link to her grandma's missing archaeology case—and discovers Bai Mo is a fox demon trapped in the jade for a thousand years. As they close in on the jade's secret of "reviving the dead," shadowy jade thieves start hunting them. Su Wan must choose between saving her grandma, breaking Bai Mo's curse, or holding onto her growing love for him……
