Lin Xiaoman, an archaeology intern, breaks into the “death-for-all” ancient tomb in a deserted village to find her missing mentor. The tomb keeper A Yuan blocks her with a bronze sword, warning, “What’s inside is scarier than death.” But her mentor’s cry for help echoes in the tomb passage, and the wall bears the same phoenix pattern as Xiaoman’s childhood necklace.
