Lin Wan, a mortuary makeup artist, is a hidden Ferryman of the Yellow Springs, tasked with guiding wrongfully dead souls into reincarnation. During a mission, he meets Su Ning—a wealthy heiress framed by her uncle. She is the woman he loved in a past life, who was killed by a villain seeking the “Book of Yellow Springs” (a treasure controlling life and death) and coveting worldly power (symbolized by the Su family’s fortune). Now the villain has returned, aiming to seize the Su family’s business and revive his quest for the Book. Lin Wan hides his identity to protect Su Ning while unraveling their past: the villain once murdered them to get the Book and dominate the world, and now targets Su again. When Su’s life is endangered because of him, Lin Wan awakens his past-life power as a God of War. He reverses Su’s death, takes revenge on the villain, and their love—transcending life and death—becomes the deadliest weapon in the urban undercurrent: a shield to guard each other, and a sword to pierce the darkness.
