Bankrupt white-collar worker Lin Xiaoman flees to her Gobi hometown in the Northwest, only to be mocked by the village Party secretary as a "loser who failed in the city". To prove herself, she uses her last savings to contract the desert, planting Haloxylon ammodendron with cistanche, and even persuades vet Chen Mo—who once called her a "delicate greenhouse flower"—to join her in ecological farming. Just as things improve, a competitor threatens to "flatten her sand nest", and a sandstorm almost destroys all seedlings. When everyone waits for her failure, Lin Xiaoman's "wilderness fortune guide" hidden in her notebook is quietly turning the Gobi into a goldmine. She's not just after money—she wants to tear up the "loser" label and become the new master of the Northwest Gobi.
