Along the way, she meets Zhou Mingyuan, a stubborn yet kind mechanical engineer—they go from bickering to him secretly drawing blueprints and shielding her from gossip. When golden rice waves sway, Lin Xiaoman realizes: the system never wanted her to "break through" fate—it wanted her to break through the past self who was afraid to fight or love. And Zhou Mingyuan's presence makes her hesitate: does she want to return to the future, or stay in 1959 with him?
