Lin Mo, an ordinary office worker, has had a crush on his company's goddess Su Wan for ages, enduring constant bullying from colleagues and his supervisor. After a late-night overtime shift, he picks up a vintage amulet left behind by Su Wan. That very night, he discovers he has gained superhuman strength and special abilities. Eager to stand up for himself and protect the woman he admires, he soon learns the amulet is tied to a mysterious backlash contract—each use of its power drains his life force. Worse still, Su Wan herself shows up at his door, revealing she is the amulet's rightful owner and that someone is hunting her to steal it.
