Su Xiao, a 30-something planner, hires Lin Chuan, a rough guy doing odd jobs to fund his grandma's surgery, as a 'professional fake boyfriend' to escape family marriage pressure. They sign a 'dating contract' to keep distance, but Lin's thoughtfulness slowly breaks Su's guard: bringing hot porridge after overtime, secretly mending her late mother's old scarf. Just as Su is about to reveal her true feelings, Lin disappears—his grandma's condition worsened, and he left to avoid burdening her. When Su finds him in the hospital, she discovers his phone is full of her photos, labeled 'the girl I've hidden for three years'. Turns out this 'fake romance' was his 'long-planned confession' from the start.
