Lin Xiaoman, an ordinary modern scrap collector, accidentally time travels to a fictional dynasty and becomes the seemingly incompetent legitimate daughter of a declining marquis estate. Back then, the once-powerful General of Zhenbei, framed as a fugitive, wanders the streets in rags. When Xiaoman meets him, seeing his noble spirit despite misery, she pats her chest and declares: "General, don't panic! I'll support you by collecting scrap". Later, Xiaoman uses her modern recycling and repairing skills to help the general make a living, and even accidentally uncovers the mastermind behind framing him. The general regains his fighting spirit with Xiaoman's company, and they develop feelings from mutual dislike, embarking on a sweet daily life of counterattacking villains.
